This video will show you how to do a deep tissue massage on the lower back ( L1-L5, & Sacrum) Glutes, aka butt muscles. and Hamstrings. Proper deep tissue techniques are used to focus on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons, and fascia (the protective layer surrounding muscles, bones and joints). The deeper pressure is beneficial in releasing chronic muscle tension. Deep tissue massage is never supposed to be painful, and should not be sore for more than a few hours or in some cases; soreness shouldn’t last no more than 24-48 hours. All massage techniques shown in this video are for educational purposes only, please use caution when applying deep tissue techniques to your clients. Most massage schools do not teach DT massage anymore, due to students that think they know it all, they provide a DT massage and end up hurting the client, you should practice on several people before claiming you know DT. So please be careful, some clients will ask for pain because they enjoy pain, don’t fall into that trap, because if you go as deep as they want you to, you can cause internal bleeding from a rib bone that you broke, and now the bone has punctured a vein or worst an artery; this is the worst case scenario. Watch again, and again to sharpen your DT techniques, these techniques will also have your clients re-booking over and over, and they will tell their family & friends about your massage because I guarantee that they are not getting this type of DT massage anywhere else, this means more money for you. Warning this is just for educational purposes only and is not to be used in most massage practices unless allowed by your state’s draping protocol.
